Our role is to assist you with the administrative and logistical organization of your planned medical stay abroad.We may help you structure your file, securely transmit your information, facilitate introductions to independent medical providers, coordinate certain appointment requests, provide practical information before departure and offer non-clinical support during your stay.Medical decisions, timelines, availability, final medical prices and outcomes remain exclusively under the responsibility of independent medical providers.
All medical decisions are made exclusively by independent healthcare professionals.My Medical Getaway does not decide which exams, treatments, procedures, prescriptions, diagnoses or medical follow-ups are required. Our role is limited to the administrative and logistical coordination of the client’s journey.
The file opening process is completed online through the designated questionnaire.The client must provide the required information, accept the necessary consent forms and pay the file opening fee of CAD $100. These fees allow our team to review the information submitted, prepare the file and determine the possible next coordination steps.These fees are credited toward the coordination package if the client later chooses to continue with My Medical Getaway.
File opening fees are generally non-refundable once the file has been submitted, as they cover the initial processing, administrative review and preparation of the file.However, if the client continues the process with My Medical Getaway, these fees are credited toward the coordination package, according to the applicable conditions.
After the questionnaire is submitted and the file opening fee is paid, our team reviews the information provided to determine whether the file can be prepared for the next possible coordination step.When the file is sufficiently complete, certain information may be transmitted, with your consent, to an independent medical provider so they can review the request and, when possible, provide an estimate or guidance regarding the next steps.This review does not constitute a diagnosis or medical advice from My Medical Getaway.
Yes. My Medical Getaway’s services are intended for individuals who have reached the age of majority under the applicable laws of their province, state or country of residence.By completing a questionnaire or submitting a request, you confirm that you are legally authorized to consent to the collection, use, disclosure and transfer of your personal and health information. If you are acting on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have the legal authority to do so.
Yes. Personal and health information submitted to My Medical Getaway is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.Access to this information is limited to the individuals or providers involved in reviewing the request, preparing the file or coordinating the stay, according to the consent provided.However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed as absolutely secure.
Yes. Certain personal or health information may be transferred to independent medical providers, coordination partners or technology providers located outside Quebec, Canada or the United States when necessary to review your request or coordinate your file.These transfers are carried out according to the consent provided and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Independent providers remain responsible for their own practices, policies and legal obligations.
My Medical Getaway is not a U.S. healthcare provider, health insurer, covered entity or business associate within the meaning of HIPAA.Medical care provided by independent providers may be subject to their own legal obligations, depending on their country, status and internal policies. My Medical Getaway acts solely as an administrative and logistical coordinator.
Medical fees are paid directly by the client to the applicable independent hospital, clinic or healthcare professional.My Medical Getaway only invoices its coordination fees. We do not invoice medical care, collect medical payments or determine final medical prices.
The coordination package may include, depending on the file and selected service: file opening and management, secure transmission of information, introduction to independent medical providers, appointment requests, pre-departure coordination, a stay file, certain practical information and non-clinical support during the stay.Exact inclusions may vary depending on the destination, the client’s needs, selected options and the availability of independent providers.
The coordination package does not include medical fees, consultations, examinations, treatments, procedures, medication, flights, insurance, accommodation, personal expenses, visas, entry fees, personal activities or any other service billed by an independent third party.These costs are separate and remain the client’s responsibility.
Main prices are displayed in Canadian dollars — CAD.When U.S. dollar — USD — equivalents are shown, they are provided for information purposes only and may vary depending on the applicable exchange rate, bank fees or payment provider conversion policies.
Yes. Unless otherwise stated, prices displayed for My Medical Getaway’s coordination services are presented taxes included.The invoice may show taxes separately, in accordance with applicable invoicing rules, without changing the total amount displayed on the website.
No. Medical prices, estimates, additional fees, payment terms and billing policies are determined exclusively by independent medical providers.Any medical estimate provided before the stay may vary depending on the healthcare professional’s assessment, required examinations, the client’s health condition, possible complications, changes to the care plan or the facility’s policies.
No. My Medical Getaway does not guarantee any savings, cost reduction or definitive financial comparison.Costs may vary depending on the country, facility, type of care, client’s health condition, related fees, exchange rate, insurance, transportation, accommodation and the medical decisions of the independent provider.
No. Timelines depend on several factors, including the destination, requested specialty, provider availability, file completeness, medical review and the priorities of each facility.My Medical Getaway facilitates coordination steps but does not guarantee any timeline, appointment, availability or acceptance of a file.
If an independent provider changes or cancels an appointment, My Medical Getaway may make reasonable efforts to facilitate new coordination, depending on availability and possible options.However, changes, delays, cancellations or unavailability remain the responsibility of the provider concerned. My Medical Getaway cannot guarantee that an appointment, schedule or third-party service will be maintained.
No. My Medical Getaway is not an emergency medical service.In the event of an emergency, concerning symptom, complication or situation requiring immediate assistance, you must contact local emergency services or go to the nearest appropriate medical facility.
It is strongly recommended to purchase travel insurance and, when possible, insurance covering medical care abroad, complications, cancellations, delays, baggage and repatriation.My Medical Getaway may, when needed, direct you to independent resources or providers, but the choice, eligibility, coverage, exclusions and claims remain exclusively between the insurer and the client.
No. Accommodation is not included in the coordination package unless otherwise stated in writing.My Medical Getaway may, upon request, facilitate introductions to independent accommodation providers or partners located near certain facilities. Reservations, payments, availability, quality standards, cancellation policies and accommodation-related disputes remain exclusively under the responsibility of the provider concerned.
Flights are not included.The coordination package includes the arrival transfer between the airport and the accommodation, provided that the required travel information is submitted within the necessary timeframe.Local transfers during the stay, such as transportation between the accommodation and certain appointments, are not automatically included. They may be coordinated as an optional On-Site VIP Transport service, depending on the destination, needs, availability and the conditions of the independent transportation provider.When transportation is provided by a third party, schedules, delays, incidents, availability, conditions and responsibilities remain under the responsibility of the transportation provider concerned.
The On-Site VIP Transport option refers to the coordination of certain local transfers during the stay, when available, with an independent partner transportation provider.This option may help facilitate transfers between the accommodation and certain appointments, medical facilities or planned locations, depending on the information provided, needs, availability and the transportation provider’s conditions.The arrival transfer between the airport and the accommodation is handled separately, as it is included in the coordination package when the required travel information is submitted within the necessary timeframe.My Medical Getaway acts solely as a coordinator and does not directly provide transportation services.
Yes. When the arrival transfer between the airport and the accommodation is coordinated as part of the package, the independent transportation provider may confirm your arrival with our team.If this confirmation is not transmitted automatically, or if you arrive by another means, we ask that you confirm your arrival by email or message so that the planned administrative and logistical follow-up can take place.This confirmation does not replace medical instructions, communications with healthcare providers or any required steps with the accommodation provider.
No. Language assistance or interpretation services may be coordinated upon request, depending on the destination, resource availability and the policies of the provider concerned.My Medical Getaway does not guarantee the availability of an interpreter or the complete translation of all medical exchanges or documents.
Cancellation or refund options depend on the service concerned, the stage of the file and the applicable conditions.Fees paid to My Medical Getaway are subject to our Cancellation and Refund Policy. Fees paid directly to medical providers, transportation companies, accommodation providers, insurers or other third parties are subject to their own policies.
Yes. You may request access, correction or, where permitted by law, the withdrawal of certain consents related to your personal information.However, withdrawing consents required for the review, transmission or coordination of the file may make it impossible to continue certain services.
Only the information necessary to review the request, assess feasibility, provide an estimate or coordinate the file may be shared, according to the consent provided.This may include certain personal, medical, administrative, travel or availability information when necessary for the coordination of the stay.
No. My Medical Getaway may facilitate an introduction to independent medical providers, but does not choose your treatment, replace your personal judgment or replace the assessment of a healthcare professional.The final decision to proceed or not with a provider, treatment or destination belongs to the client, after receiving the relevant information from the independent medical provider.
No. The hospitals, clinics, healthcare professionals, transportation providers, accommodation providers, insurers and other suppliers mentioned or proposed are independent third parties.They are not employed by My Medical Getaway and remain responsible for their own services, policies, fees, professional obligations and decisions.
After the client returns home, My Medical Getaway may remain available for administrative questions related to the coordination services provided.Medical follow-up, clinical recommendations, complications, follow-up exams and care after returning home must be handled by qualified healthcare professionals, according to the client’s situation.
