Important notice — services provided by independent third parties

 

My Medical Getaway Inc. acts as an administrative and logistical coordination service for clients who wish to explore or organize planned medical care abroad. My Medical Getaway Inc. does not provide medical care, make diagnoses, recommend treatments or replace the advice of a qualified healthcare professional.

 

Independent medical services

All care, examinations, consultations, diagnoses, recommendations, treatments, medical pricing, timelines, availability and outcomes remain the sole responsibility of the physicians, clinics, hospitals or other independent healthcare providers concerned.

My Medical Getaway Inc. may facilitate certain steps, transmit information with the client’s consent and coordinate administrative or logistical aspects, but does not control the decisions, acts, omissions, timelines, prices or outcomes of independent medical providers.

 

Independent providers

Physicians, clinics, hospitals, transportation providers, hotels, agencies, interpreters and other service providers involved in the client’s journey are independent third parties. They are not employees, agents, representatives or mandataries of My Medical Getaway Inc.

Any agreement, service, billing or responsibility related to medical care remains between the client and the relevant medical provider. Non-medical services provided by third parties may also be subject to those providers’ own terms and conditions.

 

Client decisions and consent

The client remains responsible for their decisions regarding care, travel, insurance, required documents and selected services. Before accepting any care, examination, procedure or medical service, the client should obtain the necessary information directly from the healthcare professional or medical facility concerned.

The client acknowledges that all medical care involves risks, that outcomes may vary and that no outcome, timeline, final price, availability or absence of complications can be guaranteed by My Medical Getaway Inc.

 

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, My Medical Getaway Inc. shall not be liable for the acts, omissions, decisions, delays, pricing, outcomes, complications, cancellations or changes attributable to independent medical or non-medical providers.

This limitation is not intended to exclude any liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

 

Governing law and jurisdiction

This notice is governed by the applicable laws of the Province of Québec and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Subject to mandatory consumer protection rights, any dispute relating to the services of My Medical Getaway Inc. shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Province of Québec.

 

Updates to this notice

My Medical Getaway Inc. may update this notice to reflect changes to its services, practices or applicable legal requirements. The version published on the website at the time of consultation is the version in effect.
