ABOUT MY MEDICAL GETAWAY
A human presence to better organize your medical stay abroad.
Organizing a medical stay abroad can raise many questions.
My Medical Getaway was created to meet this need: to offer human, structured and reassuring support to Canadians and Americans who wish to explore certain planned healthcare options abroad.
Our mission
To offer human, structured and transparent support to people who wish to organize a planned medical stay abroad.
We help our clients to better understand the non-clinical steps of their process, to prepare their file, to transmit the necessary information to the relevant providers and to organize certain administrative and logistical aspects of the stay.
Our goal: more clarity, more trust and a better sense of support.

To understand
Better understand the steps, required documents and information to be provided.

Organize
Structuring the file, administrative exchanges and logistical elements of the stay.

To reassure
To offer a human presence so as not to go through a complex journey alone.

A word from the founder
I wanted to create My Medical Getaway because I deeply believe that a person considering medical treatment abroad should not have to understand, organize, and coordinate everything on their own.
When it comes to health, travel, personal documents, providers abroad, and important decisions, it's normal to need clarity, structure, and human support.
My goal is for each client to feel respected, listened to, and better prepared.
We never replace healthcare professionals. We do not make medical decisions. But we can help make the process clearer, smoother, and more reassuring from an administrative and logistical point of view.
It is this human, serious and transparent presence that we want to offer through My Medical Getaway.

OUR STORY
The idea for My Medical Getaway was born from a personal experience.
Several years ago, I faced an urgent dental problem with significant costs and few options available within a reasonable timeframe. Having previously lived in the Dominican Republic, I chose to return to explore treatment options with local professionals.
This experience profoundly affected me.
I discovered that a medical stay abroad requires much more than just an appointment. It involves understanding the steps involved, submitting the correct documents, organizing communication, planning travel, choosing suitable accommodation, and preparing thoroughly.
Back in Canada, several people in my circle asked me questions. They wanted to understand how I had organized my journey, what steps were necessary, and how to avoid feeling alone in the face of such a complex process.
That's how I came to assist a first person in organizing their medical stay abroad.
This first experience made me realize that there was a real need: many people aren't just looking for a destination or a service provider. They're primarily looking for clarity, organization, and a human touch to move forward with more confidence.
My Medical Getaway was born from this reality.
