1. Purpose of This Notice

This notice is intended to clearly remind clients of the limited role of My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. in the services offered.

My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. acts only as an administrative and logistical coordination service for planned medical stays abroad.

This notice supplements, where applicable, the General Terms and Conditions of Service, Service Agreement, Privacy Policy, Cancellation and Refund Policy, Website Terms of Use and Limitations and Exclusions of Liability.

 

2. Coordination Service Only

My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. offers administrative and logistical coordination services for planned medical stays abroad.

My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. does not provide medical care, make diagnoses, prescribe treatments, provide medical advice, provide clinical recommendations, select providers based on a medical evaluation or replace the assessment of a qualified healthcare professional.

3. Care Provided by Independent Medical Providers

Consultations, examinations, procedures, treatments, prescriptions, follow-ups, medications, clinical decisions and any other medical or clinical acts are provided exclusively by independent healthcare professionals, clinics, hospitals or medical facilities.

Any clinical decision, medical recommendation, assessment, treatment, procedure, availability, timeline, final medical pricing, complication, outcome or medical follow-up remains exclusively the responsibility of these independent providers.

My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. does not guarantee the quality, outcome, availability, timelines, final medical pricing or medical result of services provided by an independent provider.

 

4. Final Choice of Provider by the Client

My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. may present or facilitate introductions to certain facilities, clinics, physicians, healthcare professionals or independent providers, depending on the information provided by the client, the destination considered, communicated availability and the general nature of the request.

The final choice of provider always belongs to the client.

The client remains free to accept, refuse or consult any other provider of their choice.

 

5. Separate Payments

Fees charged by My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. cover only administrative and logistical coordination services.

Medical fees, including consultations, examinations, treatments, procedures, medications, hospital fees, professional fees or other medical services, are established, billed and paid directly to the independent medical providers concerned, according to their own policies.

Non-medical options and services provided by third parties, including optional local transportation, accommodation, insurance, excursions, agencies or other providers, where applicable, are also subject to the terms, prices, availability, cancellation policies, refund policies, insurance coverage, limitations and responsibilities of the independent providers concerned.

When the arrival transfer between the airport and the accommodation is included in a coordination package, it remains provided by an independent transportation provider, subject to availability, schedules, terms, insurance coverage, policies and applicable limits.

 

6. Transportation, Accommodation and Other Options

My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. may, upon request and subject to availability, facilitate the coordination of certain non-medical services provided by independent third parties, including optional local transportation, accommodation, language assistance, insurance, excursions or other services related to the stay.

These services are provided by independent third parties, according to their own terms, prices, availability, cancellation policies, refund policies, insurance coverage, limitations and responsibilities.

My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. does not act as a transportation provider, hotel operator, insurer, travel agency, tourism provider, medical provider or supplier of these third-party services.

 

7. Timelines, Availability and No Guarantee

Appointment, assessment, planning, response or transmission timelines depend, among other factors, on the completeness of the file, independent provider availability, their policies, the selected destination and circumstances beyond the control of My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc.

My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. does not guarantee:

  • acceptance of a file by an independent provider;

  • a fixed timeline;

  • provider availability;

  • final medical pricing;

  • absence of additional fees;

  • medical outcome;

  • absence of complications;

  • reimbursement by insurance;

  • availability, punctuality or performance of a service provided by an independent third party;

  • authorization to enter a foreign country.

 

8. Personal Information and Transfers Outside Place of Residence

As part of the requested coordination, My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. may collect, use, retain and transmit certain necessary personal information, including health information, to independent providers.

This information may be disclosed, accessed or processed outside the client’s province, state or country of residence, including outside Canada, when necessary for the requested coordination and in accordance with the required consents.

These jurisdictions may provide a different level of protection than that applicable in the client’s province, state or country of residence. My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. applies reasonable measures to limit the information transmitted to what is necessary for the requested coordination.

 

9. U.S. Clients and HIPAA

If the client is located in the United States, the client understands that My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. is an administrative and logistical coordination company.

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. does not act as a covered entity or business associate within the meaning of the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, commonly known as HIPAA.

Medical services, when provided, are provided exclusively by independent medical providers according to their own policies, obligations and regulatory frameworks.

 

10. No Emergency Services

My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. does not provide emergency medical services.

In the event of a medical emergency, complication, concerning symptom or situation requiring immediate assistance, the client must immediately contact local emergency services, the medical facility concerned or a qualified healthcare professional.

My Medical Getaway Inc. / Mon Séjour Médical Inc. does not replace emergency services, physicians, hospitals, insurers or consular services.
