1) MSM is a coordinating service, not a healthcare provider
Mon Séjour Médical Inc. (MSM) offers administrative and logistical coordination services for planned international medical stays.
MSM does not provide any medical services, does not make any diagnoses, does not prescribe, and does not replace the advice of a healthcare professional.
2) Care is the sole responsibility of healthcare professionals and institutions
Consultations, examinations, interventions, treatments, prescriptions and all clinical acts are provided exclusively by third-party healthcare professionals and institutions (medical collaborators).
All clinical decisions are the sole responsibility of these professionals and institutions.
3) Separate payments — MSM does not collect medical fees
The fees charged by MSM cover only coordination costs.
Medical fees (consultations, examinations, procedures, medications) are billed and paid directly to the medical center or professional concerned, according to their policies.
Non-medical options and services provided by third parties (transport, accommodation, insurance, excursions, etc.), where applicable, are paid directly to the relevant suppliers.
4) VIP transport and other options — third-party providers
VIP Transport: MSM can coordinate private transport on site, provided by an independent third-party provider. MSM is not the transport provider.
Other options (on request/at an additional cost): MSM can provide referrals and facilitate connections (travel insurance, excursions, accommodation via partners). Terms, payments, modifications, cancellations, and liabilities are the responsibility of the third party involved.
5) Delays and lack of guarantee
Appointment and scheduling times depend on staff availability, applicable policies, and the completeness of the file.
MSM does not guarantee a fixed timeframe, the availability of a collaborator, or a medical outcome.
6) Personal information and transfers abroad
As part of the coordination, MSM may collect and transmit certain necessary information (including health information) to collaborators located outside of Quebec and/or Canada, with the required consents.
The jurisdictions in question may offer a different level of protection.
7) US clients (HIPAA)
If the client is located in the United States, they understand that MSM is a coordinating firm and not a "covered entity" or a "business associate" as defined by HIPAA. Consequently, HIPAA generally does not apply to the coordination services provided by MSM.
8) No emergency
MSM does not provide emergency services. In case of an emergency, call local emergency services or go to the nearest facility.
